5 tips for success in helping the homeless

1. Have compassion as your main driverç

You don't need to look far in the news to know that we are in a crisis. This week the guardian wrote how the Office for National Statistics revealed that an estimated 741 homeless people died in England and Wales in 2021 ì an increase of 54% since records began in 2013. 2. Take your cue from the Good Samaritan

A Jewish man who was hurt and in need on the street was avoided by religious and respected men, yet a known 'enemy', a Samaritan man, stoped, helped and paid for the man's recovery. It's a powerful reminder of who our neighbour is and to take responsibility for others.

3. You don't have to have it all together to give it all away

It's not just the super qualified, the super rich or the super nice people that get to make a difference. We don't need to constantly wait for the perfect moment. When we give whatever we have now, great things can happen.

4. Your church could house someone

If you aren't already, your church come together to provide care for one person or maybe more. We can help with the purchase of the house and train you. You would change someone's whole life.

5. You could invest

Your money is powerful. If you have any not being put to good work, why not invest it somewhere where it will change the lives of the homeless and simultaneously earn interest for you?
