The Inheritance Of God

"If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you. So then, brothers, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh." Romans 8: 11-12

Isn't it incredible that an inheritance is fixed just for you - the Spirit of God. It wasn't until recently I understood that you don't receive the amazing inheritance of God when you die. An inheritance has never worked like that. You receive an inheritance when someone else dies - and that someone is Jesus. When He died, we have the opportunity to receive his full inheritance (the Holy Spirit) the moment we give our lives to Christ. What an incredible joy and now we have the privilege through life of discovering just how amazing that inheritance is, like a child going from room to room unwrapping present after present, one by one. Until we understand all the gifts and fruits that are in us so we can let them out to the world.
